The world may be in the doldrums, but here at Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary, life is abuzz with new life, spring growth, flowers in abundunce, and the Sanctuary is full of birdsong.
Only days ago, to my delight, I heard the first "Shining Cuckoo" call of the season. These amazing birds fly thousands of miles north to the Solomon Islands for winter, and every spring return home, to the same garden each year!
